About us

Home-Start believes that children need a happy and secure childhood and that parents play the key role in giving their children a good start in life and helping them to achieve their full potential.

Our approach

Through a network of trained and DBS checked volunteers who are parents or have relevant experience we support hundreds of parents and children who are experiencing difficulties of one kind or another. Our families need support for many reasons including social isolation, post-natal depression, disability, bereavement or the illness of a parent or child. Every Child and Family matter and the only criteria is that you have at least 1 child under the age of 5.

Home-Start has a proven, lasting, positive impact on the development of children and the health and welfare of the family.
