Birth & Beyond

Birth & Beyond is a free group for families who are expecting their first baby and who are around 28-32 weeks pregnant.

It is aimed to support families in the preparation to giving birth and what to expect during labour and delivery.  The group also supports families with identifying help and support available for them and their baby in the community in the first few weeks after giving birth.

The group runs several times a year for four weeks. Some of the topics we cover are:

  • Your health and well-being during pregnancy
  • Getting to know your unborn baby
  • The different stages of labour
  • Pain relief choices
  • Giving birth and meeting your baby
  • Feeding, bathing and the practical care of your baby
  • Baby brain development
  • Support available in the community before and after giving birth

Coming Up

Groups will run for 4 weeks each, 10am to 12noon, on the following day:

– September Group: 15, 22, 29 September and 6 October, at Babyzone, 1EdCity, W12 7TF
– November Group: 26 November, 3, 10 and 17 December, at Baker Street Quarter, 10 Gloucester Pl, London W1U 8EZ
